Total circuit distance : 52 kms
Embark on a ride of a lifetime exploring wildlife in their natural habitat, in a haven they have for decades now called home. Discover rare animal and bird species and the rich biodiversity of Kaziranga National Park. Spot the great Indian one-horned rhino and the wild water buffalo, endemic to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kaziranga is blessed with the Big Five: the Great One-horned Indian Rhino, Wild Water Buffalo, Tiger, Swamp Deer, and the Asiatic Elephant. Watch them as the laze, stroll and hunt, safe in the knowledge that they are protected by the guards of Kaziranga, a force that has struck fear in the hearts of poachers.
If you are into adventure, ride deep into the forests of Kaziranga on a jeep safari. Or ride a majestic elephant to see the wilds up close.
Kaziranga is blessed by the Brahmaputra river that flows through its borders and has a unique ecosystem that includes the burning of its grasslands every year, where floods are essential, where humans have been taught to wait for animals to cross over to tea gardens on the other side of the highway every night, and cross back into the Park in the morning. Kaziranga has a calendar of its own.
